What art would ensue if nature was given a voice?

Kristi Rauckis, a local artist, has committed to asking herself these kinds of questions and seeing what answers and art emerge from that space.

She, her partner, and her dog have taken to the woods, the canyons and the mountains over the last year in their self-built-out Promaster van to create and live from a deeper connection with nature. “I want to communicate and share the lightness I feel when I am outside—the interconnectedness between the animals, the plants and the environment, and how we as humans can honor our relationship with the earth.”

Kristi hopes her artwork serves to strengthen and remind others of this sacred partnership—that our appreciation of nature not only helps to save it but can add to its beauty. The artwork featured in this collection brings in a surreal quality, almost as if she created portals to other dimensions where the earth is revered, respected, and all live in harmony. She holds the vision that this is the future we will choose to create, especially the more we allow ourselves to see it as possible.

The main inspiration for Kristi Rauckis's artwork Earth based. She loves animals, wildlife, the inner workings of Mother Nature and in her work, she strives to reconnect people to that beauty and the importance of its health and longevity. This understanding brought her to start investigating ways She could be more conscious in her painting. In December 2020, she started using Natural Earth Paint. An eco-friendly and all-natural paint that is safe not only for the user’s health, but for the environment as well

Kristi's goal is for people to feel and see how she perceives the world and see what is possible through her work. Inspiration is a lifestyle, and She lives each moment looking for the beauty and the good in everything. It is her passion and goal to have her artwork be a source of joy and light in the world.
