Mummy's Bundle "CROSSES IN MIDNIGHT" Choker

Crosses in Midnight Choker. Silver African crosses dangle from a field of black Czech glass beads.

The Southwest captured Mary and Doug while vacationing in Sedona, Arizona, and they never left. They felt the vibe and spirit of the ancients in the red sandstone, on canyon walls and in the native American cultures. Their passion for the past began to stream out and found expression in their unique jewelry, which awakens in many a resonance connecting them to the ancients of the Southwest. Wearable art jewelry that draws from archaeological, historical and cultural elements to create a wide range of jewelry in southwestern, eastern and international styles, using a kaleidoscope of beads and materials from around the world.

Doug and Mary Hancock had a truly magical mastery of the bridge that connects the past and present. Mary's extensive education and experience in weaving, ceramics, fiber arts, fashion design and jewelry provide the fullest compliment of skills and perspectives to an imaginative, ever-changing outpouring of designs. Combined with Doug's archeological background and participation in creation and production, their unusual work stands as a singular contribution to the world of jewelry. Doug passed away in 2017 Mary still lives in Sedona, Arizona, where they raised their family a place where natural beauty and remnants of ancient Indian cultures continue to provide inspiration for their artistic expression.
