In the 1990s, combining light and natural stone, Hovave discovered how receptive and willing stones are to receive light from the inside. This work started as functional art, stone on stone, light-sculptures (lamps) and evolved into something unexpected. Deepening his relationship with the crystals, he understood that different stones have a signature vibration and an affinity for one another. Hovave intuitively selected and combined them to ultimately create not just a beautiful lamp but an Energy Vortex -resulting in Crystal Light Sculptures.
